The Colony Group seeks a motivated
and qualified individual for the position of Director, Research Analyst. The
individual selected for this opportunity will be distinguished in academic
achievement and have the highest ethical and professional standards of
excellence.
Primary responsibilities for
this position include:
- Perform
traditional, fundamental security analysis of companies and their markets,
through analysis of financial statements, review of outside research, and
interaction with company and industry contacts.
- Develop and
maintain a thorough knowledge of assigned sectors.
- Develop an
understanding of relevant companies within assigned sectors.
- Develop and
maintain a recommended list within assigned sectors and actively offer
recommendations for client portfolios.
- Educate and
influence others through frequent written and oral communication.
- Provide input and
guidance on macroeconomic environment and portfolio construction.
Qualifications:
- The ideal
candidate will have 5 years of experience in equity/investment research.
- CFA designation (or
current progress towards completion) is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree
in finance, economics, or accounting preferred.
- Strong
understanding of equity markets, security analysis, financial modeling,
asset allocation, and portfolio strategy.
- Advanced Excel
proficiency, excellent communication skills, and proficiency for
presenting arguments under pressure.
