Job Description:
Dimensional’s Investment Solutions Group (ISG) acts as a source of specialized investment knowledge that delivers thought leadership, education and analysis to our clients through face-to-face interactions and compelling, informative content.
The Investment Solutions Associate will conduct analysis on a wide range of investment topics to produce high-quality thought-leadership content to support client communications on our research, equity and fixed income products, and portfolio construction. This position will also focus on providing data and analytical support for the broader Investment Solutions Group that includes thought leadership, product specialists, portfolio consulting, investment communications, and product management.
The Associate will also work collaboratively with Portfolio Managers, Research and our Global Client Group to provide empirical analysis on broad investment and financial market topics as well as bespoke client analytics. This position requires technical proficiency as well as strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, organize and analyze data from various internal and external databases and programs, including returns programs, characteristics and attributions databases, and various marketing and client databases.
- Monitor the competitive landscape to support efforts to promote Dimensional’s investment strategies through content design and analysis.
- Identify ways to automate content production and reporting.
- Identify relevant investment trends and aid in the design and maintenance of competitive analysis for prospect, client, consultant, and other meetings/presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field.
- Demonstrated history of academic achievement.
- Knowledge of Python, R, SQL or other relevant language.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with regards to conveying technical investment approaches in a clear and compelling manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to prioritize and exercise time management.
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills and comfort with large data sets.
- Interest in financial markets and an understanding of Dimensional’s investment philosophy.
