Join the TR team working in our Eagan, MN. office. You will be working as a corporate nurse, with flexible schedule (4 days in office and 1 day remote - coordinating in office schedule with Occupational Health nurse manager) in a rewarding, supportive, health and safety minded culture.
About the Role:
- Provide professional Occupational Health & Ergonomic support for all TR employees.
- Assist Occupational Health nurse manager in creating & administering industry leading programs that protect and improve the health and safety of TR employees.
- Respond to medical emergencies, provide nursing assessment, first aid emergency care in accordance with professional standards, policies and procedures until Eagan city first responder teams arrives and assumes care.
- Work collaboratively with cross functional teams, including the Occupational Health Nurse Manager, Risk Management, EH&S, HR, Security, Facilities, Manufacturing, Insurance Adjusters, Qualified Rehab Consultants as well as other contracted vendors to ensure successful implementation of Occupational Health initiatives.
- Workers Compensation Case Management: Administer US wide Case Management services for TR and provide recommendations for workers’ comp litigation and settlement discussions.
- Occupational Health Clinic: Staff the Eagan office walk-in clinic and respond to onsite medical emergencies. Assist Occupational Health Nurse Manager to define and develop the overall scope of the TR Occupational Health programs (e.g., Early Symptom Management, Ergonomics, Hearing Conservation).
- Ergonomics: Assist Occupational Health Nurse Manager to develop, plan, lead, and implement Ergonomic programs to the three main TR groups: Eagan Office, Manufacturing and other TR locations, as needed. Assist with delivering and/or coordinating training and employee team support for Ergonomic programs. Assist in creation, administration and coordination of events, activities, and education related to Ergonomics.
- Documentation and Reports: Document all workers compensation & patient related activities using the medical management software system, Occupational Health Manager (OHM), while maintaining strict confidentiality. Maintain OSHA 300 logs, generate reports for our business partners using multiple software platforms.
About You:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPR and Basic Life Support/Advanced First Aid training.
- Certification in one or more of the following preferred: Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN), Commission for Case Management Certification (CCMC), Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) and Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC).
- Current license to practice as a License Practical Nurse in MN and in good standing with the MN Board of Nursing.
- Two or more years of Occupational Health or experience and/or Industrial Occupational Health experience.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations governing worker and worksite safety and health {e.g., OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), etc.}.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical capabilities required.
- Proven oral and written communication abilities with demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to prepare and conduct formal presentations and to interact with management required.
- PC and Software skills including MS Office suite and Outlook required.
- Experience in coordinating services, working with multiple systems and making independent professional judgments is required.
- Must be skilled in nursing assessment of patient medical conditions and be competent in delivering nursing and basic first aid care.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience in workers’ compensation case management and emergency preparedness programs preferred.
- Experienced in Hearing Conservation including management of audiometric testing program.
- Experience in Emergency Department and/or Urgent Care settings.
- Familiarity with Occupational Health Manager (OHM) software.
