Job Description
The Role
Fidelity Capital Markets is seeking a Director, Fixed Income Platform to help drive Bond Beacon® as Fidelity’s next-generation, digital fixed income investment management and trading experience to its intermediary and institutional customers! The role is foundational in defining the strategy of the Beacon platform and associated features, functions, and capabilities to substantiate the vision. The role will use electronic fixed income knowledge, competitive marketplace benchmarking, analytic insights, and iterative client feedback to deliver a differentiating platform to Fidelity's diverse client base.
- Integral in client and industry partner engagements in order to define a 3-5 year platform strategic vision and implementation roadmap for execution by technology and business partners. Accountable for developing the electronic Beacon platform strategy that helps to address where customer needs, market structure, and Fidelity business value intersect.
- Establish cases for the broader digital strategy and share the digital strategy across business divisions to maintain consistent customer experience. Partner with other leaders to establish an innovative culture across Fidelity with focus on customer centricity.
- Responsible for the creation and execution of digital capabilities and integrations for the Bond Beacon platform. Provide expertise in high-level technical and operational fixed income investment and brokerage workflows to advise a successful and timely delivery of solutions to Fidelity clients.
The Expertise And Skills You Bring
- Strong experience in new product development, fixed income investment management, fixed income brokerage and trading workflows, product or systems design, management consulting, and data-driven processes.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, computer science, engineering or other quantitative field strongly preferred.
- Experience with fixed income investment/portfolio management, order management, and execution management systems.
- Team player with a positive demeanor and curiosity about growing a unique group within Fidelity
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of distilling analytic insights and customer behaviors using data driven hypothesis from abstract and unstructured data.
- Technical abilities supporting platform strategy, design, and implementation within the technology and organizational systems associated with large entities
- Passion for product design and development using Agile, Design Thinking, and Job-to-be-Done frameworks.
- Meticulous with ownership when addressing anything that poses a risk to our customers or our business
- Outstanding organizational and communications skills. Knowledge, interest, and passion for broad financial industry with an emphasis on fixed income

Fidelity Capital Markets (FCM) is the institutional trading arm of Fidelity Investments, providing Equity, Options, Fixed Income, Forex, Municipal and CD Underwriting, Prime Brokerage, and Securities Lending products and services to a wide array of clients, including buy-side institutions and hedge funds, as well as to Fidelity’s own businesses. The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $185,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
