POSITION SUMMARY:
The individual in this role will be a critical member of the finance team responsible for the operations of Audax Management Company. The role will work closely with the Controller and MCO Manager alongside the firm’s third-party administrator, to support the firm’s operating and reporting needs. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and detail oriented team player with strong organizational skills, a professional and discreet demeanor, a flexible approach to learning and “do anything” attitude. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate various works streams with different department team members and third party administrator with generating and reviewing of portfolio company, fund/holding company, and employee billing, including adherence to Management Services Agreements and the firm’s expense allocation policies
- Coordinate various work streams with third-party administrator, ensuring that supporting documentation (invoices, approvals, etc.) is delivered timely and in accordance with policy
- Assist with the quarterly close process, including preparing/reviewing closing, accrual and depreciation entries
- Assist with monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, P&L trending analysis, and management reporting
- Assist external auditors with annual audit and tax team with reporting, filings, and supporting documents
- Assist with continuous process improvement initiatives with a focus on the continued development of processes and best practices related to Oracle NetSuite and Concur
- Assist with preparation of reclass entries, cash, investment, revenue, and expense analysis reports for senior management on a weekly and ad-hoc basis
- Maintain the team’s filing system ensuring documentation is organized
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance with advanced degree or certification a plus
- 3-4 years of experience in a corporate or public accounting role, preferably in private equity or financial services
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP requirements
- Technologically savvy with advanced MS Excel skills, NetSuite and Concur experience is a plus
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated consistency in meeting deadlines with quality work product
- Effective communication skills and ability interact with Senior Management and outside parties
- Professional and energetic attitude
