The Aladdin Wealth Tech team partners with wealth management clients to help them oversee their enterprise risk, build better portfolios, and enhance their value proposition to end customers. This is achieved by leveraging risk analytics - powered by Aladdin® - to equip wealth management firms with model construction capabilities, risk monitoring tools, and portfolio construction & analytics.
The Aladdin Wealth Tech team is part of the wider Aladdin business. Aladdin is uniquely positioned to address the industry’s risk management; portfolio construction and financial technology demands. This will be an exciting opportunity for someone interested in Technology who is looking to learn about the Wealth Management industry and gain experience working with clients. Aladdin Wealth Tech is comprised of Product and Engineering teams working closely and alongside the Implementation Delivery and Client teams.
Job Description
As a Business Management & Strategy Vice President, you will work closely with the Aladdin Wealth Tech COO and other leadership to support the day-to-day business operations of the group. As part of this role, you will collaborate with Aladdin COO, FP&A, Billing, L&C, RQA and other internal partners across functions to meet both short-term and long-term objectives. A main focus of this role will be to gain an understanding of business and financial objectives, risks, controls, and build comprehensive financial models and budgeting plans for senior management consumption. Additionally, you will represent AWT in key internal and external relationships and help manage and execute on core business processes to ensure business alignment with set policies and objectives. Successful Business Managers are inquisitive, handle ambiguity well, and lead multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment. They also have a high level of self-motivation, and are able to own and drive things forward, capturing feedback and identifying ways to do things better along the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and management of sophisticated financial models to provide accurate and timely insights into business performance and support more robust long-term planning.
- Conduct in depth analysis of financial results highlighting key drivers and present findings in a clear and concise manner appropriate for senior leadership.
- Partner with business managers and leaders to coordinate budgets, forecasts and provide guidance and support in tracking and controlling expenses throughout the year, finding opportunities to optimize costs and drive strategy.
- Monitor key performance indicators and identify trends, risks, and opportunities to provide actionable recommendations to management as it relates to business management.
- Lead contract management activities for new and existing clients to ensure alignment with guidelines.
- Lead risk and compliance execution, including business continuity planning, business-related audit management, and policy creation.
- Ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place while reviewing the adequacy of business process and adherence to agreed methodologies.
- Identify operational improvement opportunities, contribute to the implementation of standard processes and engage in firm-wide strategic projects.

You have…
- Experience in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in business management or finance within the financial services industry.
- Expertise in project management with strong ability to meet quick deadlines.
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting with a strong understanding of financial statements and metrics.
- Advanced Excel skills with ability to produce robust Excel models (forecasting, sensitivity analysis, data synthetization) and the ability to explain those models to a variety of partners.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills with the ability to synthesize key findings and produce presentations for senior audiences.
- Effective prioritization of multiple tasks and willingness to take on additional responsibility.
- Interest in working in an entrepreneurial, fast paced environment.
- Prior experience working with senior management a plus.
For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $137,500 - $194,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
