Hudson River Trading (HRT) is looking for an Office Manager to join the Employee Experience team in Austin!
As a Workplace Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day operational and administrative tasks, as well as crafting memorable experiences for employees that reflect and amplify HRT’s culture. You’ll be the point of contact for vendors, employees, and external visitors. This role requires extremely close collaboration within People Operations and other teams across HRT.
The ideal candidate has a hands-on approach, excellent attention to detail, and the desire to make an impact on HRT’s workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- This is an in-office position and the expectation is the individual will be in office 5 days a week
- Oversee all aspects of office management, including communicating with building security and responding to slack messages swiftly and professionally
- You’ll report to the Regional Workplace Manager and work together to implement and maintain efficient workplace systems, craft clear and effective internal and external communications, and actively contribute to enhancing staff well-being
- Manage daily mail and package deliveries, ensuring timely processing and distribution
- Maintain an inventory of office supplies, including regular audits and updates to ensure everything is well-stocked
- Manage workplace amenities such as kitchen supplies, wellness programs, and ergonomic equipment
- Facilitate a welcoming and positive visitor experience by providing assistance, directions, and a comfortable waiting experience
- Order and manage the office's food and beverage supply, catering to employees' dietary needs and preferences
- Maintain the physical appearance of the company's premises
- Collaborate with building management team to address operational issues, maintenance requests, and building-related matters
- Maintain an organized and tidy shared office space, promoting a clean and professional work environment and uphold compliance with fire and health codes
- Develop a deep understanding of our people and values through relationship building, and regularly engage employees through creative initiatives and employee appreciation events
- Continuously seek feedback from employees to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance the overall office experience
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or in hospitality, food industry or front desk
- Experience working in G-Suite and MacOS
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a time-sensitive and dynamic environment
- Ability to move 40 lbs
