We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Strategy Lead for the Conventional Trust Platform within BNY Corporate Trust. Products supported within the Platform include Conventional Debt, Escrow & Specialty, Insurance, and Public Finance. This is a hybrid role and will be based out of our New York City, NY or Pittsburgh, PA office.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Provide recommendations to strategic direction for the Platform, working closely with the EPO
- Ensures alignment of Platform strategy with overall enterprise priorities
- Drive growth agenda and improved margins
- Provides strategic oversight and guidance on the development of key performance indicators; serves as strategic advisor in goal setting activities for the Platform
- Leads key strategic initiatives in the planning, analysis, implementation, integration and measurement of the overall Platform Strategy and roadmap
- Provides solutions/recommendations for complex business initiatives for the Platform, where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
- Understands external trends, competitive landscape and market dynamics and is able to translate implications for the specific Platform
- Develops and ensures the execution of the Platform strategy to deliver the OKRs
- Utilizes a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of multiple areas across disciplines to achieve strategic vision of the Platform
- Executes the operational/business strategy and related activities for the Platform
- Keeps abreast of contemporary concepts in business strategy and management and applies these to develop innovative solutions and transformation plans and roadmaps
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- 10 years of experience in product management, product development, and/or Strategy
- Strong knowledge of global capital markets dynamics, trends and structures, with previous experience in corporate trust preferred
- Deep knowledge of the Platform domain area
- Understanding of business procedures and operations
- Leadership and influencing skills
- Ability to make hard and fast decisions
- Passion for changing status quo and driving out-of-the-box ideas
- Non-hierarchical, transparent, trusting, trustworthy
- Eagerness to ‘roll up the sleeves’ in execution and learning; pushes the team to do the same

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $125,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
