The role of Senior Associate/AVP, Business Analyst embodies leadership qualities and provides a comprehensive understanding of initiative objectives essential for project execution. Business analysts are pivotal to our continued growth and success. With their commitment to innovation, these analysts seek, develop, and implement strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity. This role demands excellent communication skills, meticulous documentation, and transparency, as business analysts routinely interact with technical leaders, developers, and business partners. They must gather, review, and analyze data to extract meaningful insights, enabling informed and data-driven decision-making and recommendations. Responsibilities Include:
- Communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear and concise technical specifications that developers can understand and implement.
- Create designs and formulates models, diagrams and documentation using industry standards, tools, version control, and build and test automation to meet business, technical, security, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Stay current with needs and strategies; utilizing formal and informal written communication methods (for example, emails, PowerPoint presentations, executive updates, task lists, updates) to communicate updates and findings; and facilitating project meetings and presentations to all audience types across the organization.
- Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths; and managing client and vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions with other enterprise systems, such as CRM, Accounting, and BI platforms.
- Collect data to identify trends, challenges and opportunities for improvement.
- Engage stakeholders, conduct workshops and collaborate with technical teams to validate proposed solutions.
- Gather, review, and analyze data to extract meaningful insights to enable informed and data-driven decision-making.
- Consult and advise in procedures relating to training and Quality Assurance (QA), testing and roll-out plan. Ensuring alignment between business objectives and software testing.
- Lead the analysis and evaluation of application functionality, providing recommendations to increase utilization of standard application functionality to improve business processes and capabilities.
- Map, review, and optimize business processes in relation to technical solutions, identifying areas for automation and efficiency. This includes recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes.
Qualifications
- Senior Associate 5+ years of experience - AVP 8+ years of experience in a business systems analysis or a related technical role
- Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Excel).
- Comfort with database/querying tools (e.g., SQL), and PowerBi for data visualization is a plus!
- Strong knowledge of enterprise-level applications (e.g., CRM systems, portfolio management tools, financial reporting systems).
- Strong familiarity with SDLC processes related to both Waterfall and Agile.
- Ability to dissect complex technical and business problems, providing detailed analyses and actionable recommendations (proactive and reactive).
- Thorough understanding of the systems development life cycle (SDLC) is paramount.
- Must have experience working on large scale projects as well as handling and prioritizing day-to-day operational requests from various stakeholders.
- Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills & communication skills.
- Strong ability to adapt to new tools and processes as part of continuous improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; able to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent organization and documentations skills, with the ability to design and facilitate a group process, elicit contributions, stimulate.
- Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry, specifically Asset Management is a plus!
Education
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics or a related field.
Base Salary Range
$125,000 - $145,000 Senior Associate
$135,000 - $165,000 Assistant Vice President
In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement. The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
