Join us as a Vice President on Barclays Equity ETF trading desk. You will join the Flow Derivatives Desk where you will work on the exchange traded funds (ETF) growth initiatives. The trader will be responsible for building a robust fair value calculation engine across domestic and international ETFS. This will be utilized by the desk’s market making businesses across high touch and electronic Request a Quote (RFQ) businesses. Trader will also be responsible for flow analysis across various clients and markets.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job specific technical skills.
To be successful in this role you should have the following:
- BS degree in finance, economics, math, computer science or related field and four to six years of experience building ETFmarket making operations
- You have experience working with developers to create a high-performance pricing engine
- You possess a high level of analytical skills as well as the ability to lead complex trading activities and a solid comprehension of risk mitigation
Additionally, the following skills are also relevant and highly preferred.
- An ability to engage with colleagues from different areas across the organization including infrastructure functions to ensure best in class solutions and service is delivered to our clients
- A solid understanding of the Equities and Fixed income markets, financing, and regulatory environment
- Hold FINRA licenses 7, SIE and 57
Salary / Rate Minimum: 155,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: 250,000

This role is based in New York.
Purpose of the role
To execute trades and manage risk within a defined portfolio of financial instruments and staying informed about market trends and developments to make informed trading decisions.
Accountabilities
- Execution of buy and sell orders or pricing of liquidity in various financial instruments while adhering to the bank's trading strategies and risk parameters.
- Monitoring and analysis of global financial markets, economic indicators, news, and geopolitical events to identify trading opportunities and assess market risks.
- Management and monitoring of the risk associated with the trading portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk management guidelines.
- Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to gather insights and information for trading decisions.
