Analyst, Insurance Client Relationships - SLC Management
What is in it for you:
We are hiring an Analyst, Insurance Client Relationships in our U.S. Client Relationships team, part of the Global Insurance Group. The Analyst role is a key member of the team, partnering with the Business Development, Solutions, and Portfolio Management teams to support best in class relationship management to SLC’s clients. The role supports the client-facing members of the group, who lead the client team and are the day-to-day contacts for SLC’s insurance company clients.
A successful candidate will support the teams that manage SLC’s client relationships, including the creation and delivery of SLC’s investment support and insurance solutions. This role blends knowledge of a client’s or prospect’s insurance operations with SLC Management’s investment product offerings. The client relationship team brings the full insurance and investment capabilities of SLC to our clients.
What you will do:
- Develop a deep understanding about both insurance and investments, and how investment portfolios function within the context of an insurance company
- Knowledge of internal processes related to client management
- Respond quickly and accurately to client requests
- Support the creation and implementation of investment strategies using SLC Management’s proprietary decision-making tools
- Ad hoc analyses and support for sales and client efforts
- Learning Solutions work which includes:
- Dynamic financial analysis of financial statements
- Asset/liability management
- Tax forecasting
- Stochastic simulations of various risk elements
- Income and cash flow forecasting
- Peer analysis
- Portfolio risk management
What you will need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1+ years of insurance and/or investment experience
- Working knowledge of the insurance industry and investment markets
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM platforms to manage and track client interactions effectively.
- Progress towards an actuarial and/or CFA designation preferred but not required
- Previous experience in insurance asset management preferred but not required
- Open to travel
- Knowledge of insurance industry and applicable investment trends
- Strong analytical skills combined with attention to detail in deliverables
- Mathematical background and aptitude
- Positive attitude, professional presence, ability to interact with professionals both inside & outside SLC
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate internally and externally
- Ability to effectively manage and coordinate multiple projects and tasks under strict deadlines
- Both self-motivated and a team player
