Summary:
The Director will be responsible for supporting the Alternative Investments efforts in Wealth Management in all aspects of client engagements and internally at CNS, and in the execution of strategic goals for the Firm and the department. In this role, the Director will also work closely with colleagues in the Strategic Partnership Group and the Wealth Management Consultants, as well as other departments across the firm. Major Responsibilities/Activities:
Primary responsibilities will be to contribute to the distribution of CNS private market vehicles and to collaborate with key stakeholders across distribution, product strategy and development, portfolio management, marketing, legal, technology, business operations, and compliance to bring Alternative Investment strategies to market that continuously meet evolving client needs.
- Collaborate with Head of Strategic Partnerships Group and Private Wealth Solutions to design and update sales distribution strategies and board materials including KPIs and client segmentation model to accelerate growth
- Partner with Head of Private Wealth to support sales efforts by joining client meetings, calls and providing internal education
- Partner with internal/external wholesalers to prospect potential buyers using data and other means
- Join executive leadership meetings to report on activity and pipeline progress
- Assist in the execution of product launch plans (i.e., internal and external trainings, sales communication, launch calls, roadshows, conference participation)
- Responsible for PWS calendars with SPG, externals, internal meetings and private real estate investment team for effective scheduling and tracking
- Share iCapital, Snyder Kearney, Mick Law and Intralinks data room viewers with external and internal sales teams for an effective approach to lead coordination.
- Manage and update the sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and client interactions using CRM software
- Engage with and maximize efficiency of alternative data use by externals and internals
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales activities and performance metrics for routine business reviews.
- Facilitate data requests, RFPs, 15c, recurring compliance/operational questionnaires, due-diligence processes, and responses to inbound questions.
- Act as a consistent team player who effectively works across CNS to advance the Firm’s goals.
- Maintain a deep understanding of our Alternative Investment products, market trends, and competitive landscape. Stay informed about industry developments and regulatory changes that may impact our offerings.
- Support distribution of CNSREIT through opportunistic prospecting and territory management/pipeline reviews.
Minimum Requirements:
- 7+ years of investment industry experience. Prior experience working with institutional investors, financial advisors, or private wealth clients preferred.
- Strong understanding of either the institutional or wealth management sales cycle.
- Knowledge of the retail marketplace: understanding client needs, market trends, competitive landscape, fintech and primary service providers, and client operational and regulatory needs.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience required.
- FINRA Series 7, and Series 63 or 66.
- Willingness to pursue CAIA certification.
- Knowledge of Alternative Investment products and vehicles, including private real estate.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence clients.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
