Assistant Vice President – Real Assets Property Accounting
The Role & Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent client service
- Ensure adherence to documented procedures and policies
- Prepare and review entity-level accounting including journal entry preparation and input, data uploads, monthly close procedures, and financial statement preparation
- Prepare and review cash support packages, vendor setups, and invoice vouchering for vendor invoice payments
- Prepare and review supporting schedules for various activities and transactions
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore accounting teams
- Independently manage calendar of assigned deliverables
- Assist with process improvements (centralization, standardization, and automation of recurring processes)
- Working on special projects (as required)
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (CPA a plus)
- 5+ years of public accounting and/or real estate company experience
- MRI experience is a plus
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative consistently producing accurate and timely work
- Good interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with colleagues and clients
- Demonstrated ability to automate processes leveraging Excel and/or accounting systems
- Flexible in adjusting to changing priorities
