The Partnerships & Alliances (P&A) team at Thomson Reuters is responsible for end-to-end lifecycle management of strategic partnerships. From strategy development, through assessment, recruitment, negotiation, onboarding, launch and ongoing management; the Partnerships & Alliances team oversees numerous partnerships working collaboratively in a variety of commercial models.
The P&A team and Partner Ecosystem have grown significantly, delivering exceptional value to our business, our partners, and, ultimately, our customers. Building on this success, Thomson Reuters is now establishing a Global Partnerships & Alliances Team to further strengthen collaboration and unlock joint opportunities with our most strategic and influential partners globally.

This role will lead our largest and most critical global partner accounts, focusing on strategic growth, governance, and innovation. With the support of one or more Partnerships Managers, this role will collaborate to elevate these partnerships to new heights, unlocking transformative opportunities and delivering measurable, sustainable impact across the business.
About the Role
In this role as Director, Partnerships & Alliances - Global Partner Accounts, you will:
- Define Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for both your partners and your Global Partner Account Managers, overseeing execution against those metrics.
- Develop and execute comprehensive global account strategies, ensuring alignment with overall company & segment goals.
- Identify and cultivate new growth opportunities within partner accounts, including cross-account synergies with other strategic partners.
- Lead the creation and management of account plans, including resource planning, financial forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Partner Marketing team to design and execute marketing strategies, programs & campaigns to & with our partners to maximize partner engagement and drive demand generation.
- Define and lead launch initiatives for new partnering motions, ensuring alignment across internal & external teams and successful execution.
- Oversee global account governance, including setting the cadence for internal and external meetings, pipeline tracking, and escalation management.
- Act as the global account ambassador, ensuring consistency in messaging and execution across segments, regions and teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in the operating model, optimizing account management processes and delivering consistent performance outcomes.
- Represent the company at C-suite level discussions to deepen strategic relationships and secure buy-in for initiatives.
- Collaborate with regional and segment teams to ensure alignment with global strategy and address local market nuances.
About You
You’re a fit for the Director, Partnerships & Alliances - Global Partner Accounts role if your background includes:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of experience in Partnerships & Alliance Management, including managing complex, multi-region accounts.
- 8+ years’ Global industry experience at a minimum working for or selling into software/SaaS companies
- Experience working with global technology platform providers (e.g. ERPs), systems integrators and global accounting and consulting firms
- Proven track record of developing and scaling strategic partnerships with large, global organizations.
- Proven track record of driving sales through partnership channels across technology and services industries
- Deep understanding of the AI and software technology landscape, including current trends and competitive dynamics
- Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends and financial data to make informed decisions that enhance profitability and sustainability.
- Expert business case and financial modeling skills

The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $173,300 - $321,800. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $157,500 - $292,500. The base compensation range in other locations may vary. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
