Profile Summary:
Our HR team plays a critical role in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring that our employees have the support they need to excel. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR Associate to support our technology function. The HR Associate will provide essential support to enhance the effectiveness of the HR team by partnering with HR Advisors to perform a wide variety of administrative and HR related duties in managing relationships with the client groups. This individual will assist in ensuring our employees receive relevant and up to date communications on HR policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, staffing, employee relations, performance management and training programs.
This role requires an Innovative and Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, specifically with learnings on automation and AI, and overall a curious and proactive individual who is eager to learn and grow within the HR field. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technology and advanced data skills, PowerPoint, as well as experience with HR analytics (tools). The HR Associate will handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism while assisting with various HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help build a high-performance culture by partnering with HR Advisors, managers and employees to handle day-to-day administrative requirements (e.g., data entry, scheduling, compiling data, report generation, etc.)
- Assist in the administration of HR policies and programs such as employee relations, performance management, compensation, and learning and development.
- Point of contact for the HR team, fostering appropriate traffic flow while ensuring customer needs are met. Assist with the onboarding process for new technology employees, including coordinating orientation sessions and ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Process personnel actions such as: Transfers, Promotions and Separations and conduct Exit Interviews.
- Assist in creating a positive onboarding experience for new employees by partnering with Talent Acquisition to ensure all appropriate paperwork and access has been completed. This may also entail coordinating interviews with hiring managers.
- Utilize advanced Excel and analytic tools to create and maintain HR metrics and reports for the technology function.
- Analyze data to identify trends and insights that can inform HR strategies and initiatives.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and programs aimed at enhancing the workplace culture within the technology function.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and follow all data protection and privacy regulations.
- Stay informed about HR best practices and trends to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Demonstrate a strong curiosity for learning and development within the HR field, actively seeking opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Assist in coordinating temporary / contract workers, including Summer Interns.
- Assist HR team with special projects and programs as requested. Projects may include oversight of various HR initiatives related to Training and Development; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion efforts; Succession Planning, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- At least 1-2 years' experience supporting HR in a corporate environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with HR analytic tools and Workday is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and process skills with a demonstrated ability to work on multiple priorities at one time.
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work on routine assignments independently while using good judgment in deciding when to take action or when to ask for direction.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- A proactive approach to learning and development.
Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
$60,450 - $100,760 USD
