POSITION SUMMARY:
The position is responsible for the accounting and reporting for Audax Senior Debt. The candidate is also responsible for the compliance and control processes related to several Private Debt Funds. Senior Debt invests in debt securities of middle market companies backed by private equity sponsors via a variety of different investment vehicles. The candidate will provide financial support to Senior Debt, FP&A, Tax, and Investor Relations teams through the timely and accurate completion of investment and financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements, and review of financial and operational controls.

In this role, the candidate has a “can do” attitude, and must be able to prioritize and complete all projects given to them by their deadlines while ensuring each one is completed according to the guidelines. As Audax Senior Debt continues to grow, the position may evolve with the direction of the business’ needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- All accounting, reporting and compliance of certain Senior Debt funds
- Responsible for coaching and developing junior team members
- Calculate fund level returns and communicate the funds’ performance to the Investor Relations team
- Prepare monthly and quarterly MD&A on fund performance for senior management
- Administration of certain funds: prepare/review, coordinate, calculate capital calls and distributions
- Review fund administrator’s work on various Private Debt funds
- Account for daily activity in general ledger and portfolio accounting system
- Track and update the portfolio of investments for the various Private Debt funds
- Daily cash management, monitoring, and reconciliation with the bank
- Take a lead role with the firm’s outside auditor in preparation/review of year-end audited financials
- Exhibit resolved demeanor when working with compressed deadlines
- Work cooperatively with team members toward a shared goal
- Be available to provide timely communication to internal and external stakeholders on projects when required
- Independently manage competing timelines and priorities accordingly on engagements

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s degree in accounting
- 3+ years of related experience including experience with financial reporting, 4+ years’ experience to be considered for the Senior Associate level
- CPA and prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus
- Strong GAAP financial reporting experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- SEC related experience / BDC related experience is a plus
- Private equity or private debt valuation experience a plus
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Investran, WSO, Advent Geneva experience a plus
OTHER DUTIES:
This position is hybrid, 3-4 days/week in the office.
The base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000. The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and Audax reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. An employee may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on performance.
