The Marketing Department partners with other areas of the firm to effectively communicate and deliver Dimensional’s message through various internal and external platforms. Our Corporate Marketing and Communications team plays a central role in protecting and advancing Dimensional’s reputation as a leader and innovator in the field of finance. We are focused on positioning the firm at the center of relevant conversations across our industry and championing the value of advisors in empowering investors and helping them achieve their personal financial goals. Reporting to the Director of External Communications, the Senior Associate will join the group that works collaboratively across our organization to ensure a thoughtful, consistent, and impactful approach when communicating with internal and external audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance Dimensional’s proactive external communications program that supports business objectives, elevates public presence, and builds connectivity with key audiences
- Strengthen and leverage relationships with global media, analysts, and industry influencers to maximize the impact of corporate announcements and campaigns
- Advance the public profile and perception of Dimensional, our company leaders, and firm initiatives by finding and securing strategic communications opportunities, including media interviews (across TV, print media, podcasts, and other mediums) as well as industry events, conferences, and awards
- Contribute to and manage key external communications campaigns, materials, and platforms, including developing corporate announcements, campaign plans and assets, press releases, Q&As, briefings, talking points, op eds, and the newsroom on Dimensional’s website
- Liaise with our global team and agency relationships to ensure alignment with broader program, effective delivery and maximum impact
- Establish strong and collaborative relationships with the broader Communications and Marketing teams to ensure all external communications initiatives are aligned and consistent
- Help manage the firm’s media monitoring, reporting, and social listening, and contribute to broader analytics and benchmarking efforts
- Identify new and emerging communications tools, services, and software and develop strategies leveraging their capabilities to build reputation and demonstrate program impact
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of corporate communications and/or media relations experience, ideally in the asset management/finance industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive with strong media relationships and proven track record of securing high impact coverage
- Sound judgment and an ability to quickly establish confidence and build influence with leadership, media and other stakeholders
- Interest in developing new approaches to communications/public relations in an evolving digital landscape
- Ability to analyze metrics and present information in a meaningful way
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field
