We are currently hiring a highly technical, detail-oriented, and process-improvement-driven Assistant Controller team member to help us continue to grow our accounting department.
- Serve as a primary liaison for the preparation of financial statements across all subsidiaries.
- Routine maintenance of general ledgers, sub-ledgers, and trial balances for Avance Care and affiliates, according to GAAP
- Lead and/or assist with the implementation, onboarding, and setup of new entities
- Develop and implement processes to improve the accounting function across all legal entities, and to foster collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Create and maintain Key Financial metrics for senior leadership.
Selected Responsibilities:
- Lead the research, documentation, and implementation of new accounting standards and complex accounting topics, ensuring company-wide compliance.
- Evaluate the accounting and financial reporting implications of significant transactions, including M&As, new service offerings, and enterprise-wide contracts.
- Develop and implement SOX policies and procedures in compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Monitor revenue streams, including patient services, insurance reimbursements, government programs, and other revenue sources.
- Assist with the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, RCM, tax, internal audit, operations, and IT to ensure seamless financial operations.
Target candidates should bring 5+ years of progressive accounting experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and CPA/CMA and/or Master’s degree are strongly preferred.
