GMS Surgent is in search of qualified entry level staff accountants to join our team. An ideal candidate is team-oriented, shows a solid work ethic and motivation to succeed, and enjoys independent problem solving. We do not require 150 credit hours. Also, you have critical thinking skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and the capacity to effectively communicate (verbal & written) in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines. You will report to the Partner.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide timely, high-quality client services that meet or exceed client expectations
- Research complex tax and accounting issues, in addition to determining alternative solutions
- Become proficient in the preparation of corporate, individual, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns
Position Requirements:
- Major – Accounting
- 4 year degree in Accounting
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of local, state, multi-state, and federal tax regulations
- Stay up-to-date interpretations of the ever-changing tax laws to anticipate tax opportunities
