Private Credit Originations Specialist– East Coast

The role will be based on the East Coast with the expectation of a hybrid work model. PineBridge Private Credit has offices in New York City; Westport, Connecticut; and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
We are seeking a dynamic Originations Specialist to join our Private Credit team, specifically focusing on the Lower and Core Middle Market private equity space. This role will be responsible for proactively sourcing direct lending investment opportunities by engaging with key stakeholders, including private equity sponsors, corporates in targeted sectors, intermediaries (niche advisory firms), and other groups (family offices, accounting firms, and tax advisors). The ideal candidate will blend networking, relationship management, and industry knowledge to effectively identify and connect with potential deal sources. The individual will be able to develop and nurture strong relationships with private equity sponsors and industry stakeholders to enhance deal flow within the Lower/ Core Middle Market. Candidates should possess proven experience in a client-facing role, ideally with a focus on deal origination or business development in the private equity sector.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Sponsor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with private equity sponsors, focusing on origination of private credit deals in the lower middle market segment.
- Deal Sourcing: Proactively identify investment opportunities by engaging with LMM private equity sponsors and intermediaries, participating in conferences, and leveraging existing networks.
- Transaction Execution: Work closely with internal teams to structure, negotiate, and execute credit transactions, including term loans, unitranche financing and other finance solutions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal investment, legal, and risk management teams to ensure smooth deal execution and compliance with firm policies.
- Networking & Business Development: Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and sponsor-related functions to enhance the firm's visibility and drive new business opportunities. *U.S. travel required up to 30%
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-10 experience in private credit, leveraged finance, investment banking, or sponsor coverage, with a focus on lower middle market transactions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field. MBA or CFA designation preferred.
- Relationship Skills: Proven ability to build and manage relationships with private equity sponsors and intermediaries.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present investment opportunities and structure deals effectively.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate across functions and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Motivation: Self-starter with a strong drive to source deals and expand the firm's sponsor coverage platform.

*Salary Range: $175,000-215,000 annually + bonus + benefits
