About This Position
As a T. Rowe Price Senior Manager, you will lead trade management and portfolio implementation for discretionary portfolios as well as have responsibility for retail trading operations, which includes end-to-end oversight of portfolio rebalancing, trade execution, cash management, and reconciliation for all discretionary portfolios. A critical piece of the role is to utilize your technical and operational knowledge to execute investment strategies across client accounts.
In this role, you will lead a team of trading investment professionals and provides coaching and guidance to ensure optimal performance, while also managing relationships with third-party vendors, software vendors that handle portfolio management and trade execution.

Responsibilities
- Develop and direct trading strategies, portfolio transitions, and onboarding activities to maximize risk-managed opportunities for clients.
- Leverage deep ETF and industry knowledge to optimize operational processes and enhance a portfolio management execution platform.
- Navigate and resolve complex situations in collaboration with key partners, such as risk management, product management, legal, compliance, and methodology, to ensure alignment and adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Manage relationships with third-party providers, ensuring quality and performance standards are met and holding them accountable to established service-level agreements.
- Identify, drive, and implement improvement opportunities with a critical focus on risk, control, and scalability.
- Evaluate investment management software and systems and identify integration or partnership opportunities that enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead a small team of trading investment professionals across two locations within the US, guiding their work, providing feedback, and evaluating performance.
- Develop training for lower-level staff and serves as an escalation point for risk and compliance issues that arise from lower-level staff.
- Demonstrate a communicative and solution-focused approach to monitoring and reporting on performance indicators, trading performance, emerging risks, and industry developments.
- Identify and resolve custodial data and corporation action issues.
- Assists the assigned business line with the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks and helps to identify and implement controls to manage emerging issues.
- Monitors compliance and assigns routine monitoring responsibilities through less experienced managers.
- Develops a variety of complex assessment reports and delivers these to management with resolution or mitigation alternatives.
- Ensures business process and product changes are completed appropriately.
- Recommends modifications to decrease risks inherent to the process or product change.
- Contributes to efforts to develop a strong organizational risk culture and further develop the function's effectiveness as a second line of defense for the business or legal entity.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
- 8+ years of total relevant work experience
- Strong understanding of investment management concepts and operational mechanics of investment vehicles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
- 3+ years of ETF operations experience.
- Knowledge of the ETF product and the mechanics of its trading lifecycle, including, but not limited to, the overall create/redeem business, collateral management, settlements, clearing, and reconciliations.
- Knowledge and understanding of trading rules and regulations as they pertain to the broker/dealer and RIA space. Strong understanding of direct indexing, UMAs, SMAs, models, rebalancers, ETFs/Mutual funds, trade cost analysis, tax loss harvesting, corporate actions.
- Knowledge and understanding of trading rules and regulations as they pertain to the broker/dealer and RIA space.
- MBA and/or industry-relevant certifications preferred. (CIMA, CFP, CFA, etc.)
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and organizational skills and enjoys fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses 7, 66 and 24 are required and will be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.
Base Salary Ranges
$132,000.00 - $225,000.00 for the location of: California, New York
$116,000.00 - $198,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$105,500.00 - $180,000.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and all other US locations
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
