Hudson River Trading is looking for a part-time temporary Finance Analyst to join our NYC Accounting team for 3 months.
As a Finance Analyst, you’ll support special projects related to organizing and analyzing existing historical data. Through this, you will develop an understanding of the monthly financial process and gain valuable insights into the wide range of functions performed by our Finance team.
This role requires extremely close teamwork and collaboration within the Finance team. The ideal candidate is proactive with a keen interest in finance/accounting.
Responsibilities
- Compile and organize historical financial and tax data from various sources
- Collaborate with tech and finance teams to standardize data formats and contribute to database design
- Develop a model to generate returns, leveraging the database
- Prepare and generate ad-hoc reports, statements, and presentations based on data
- Continuously engage in process improvement efforts to streamline reports efficiently and accurately
- Support daily team operations
- Other projects that may come up during the term
Qualifications
- Recent grad or must be earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Excellent analytical skills
- Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience or understanding of SQL and/or Python preferred
Hourly range of $25 to $35. Pay may vary depending on job-related skills and experience.
