Purpose and Job Summary:
Working in a team environment, the Business Analyst will work in tandem or as an individual contributor to analyze business partners’ operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to solve business and technical issues. The ideal candidate may take on limited managerial responsibilities, including mentoring junior staff on select projects and/or may develop staff on specific projects. They will develop business requirements into technical stories and seek out areas for operational improvements. The responsibilities of the Business Analyst will also involve the implementation and/or integration of products, application/product support, implementation of new features, or new line of businesses.
The Business Analyst must have a desire to work in a cooperative environment and have a proven record of accomplishment of delivering solutions combined with leadership in resolving issues is essential. In addition, at times provide hands-on technical solutions either through reports or program development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Experienced Business Analyst working within an Agile technology/product delivery environment.
- Identify, assess, and articulate near-term business needs, advise businesses on options, risks, and costs of technology solutions vs benefits.
- Develop and/or enhance Business Applications or tools by selecting, tailoring, and implementing third-party packages, tools, or components.
- Provide production support for all lines of business users.
- Perform QA on Keys related development or procedural changes.
- Use creative skills to identify and recommend automation and application improvement solutions for business.
- Product Owner functions for internally developed applications, including strategic planning to tactical execution and delivering measurable business value.
- Analyze and develop requirements within Azure and specifications that address business functions and workflow.
- Develop Test Cases and Test Applications thoroughly, when implementing system modifications, upgrades, disaster recovery, etc., utilizing users where appropriate.
- Support internal and external customers as a business consultant and problem solver with an emphasis on extraordinary customer service.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision, prioritize the product backlog, and ensure alignment with organizations strategic goals.
- Limited managerial responsibilities including mentoring direct reports, defining goals and milestones, and facilitate 1:1 sessions.
- Improve relationships by building trust between IT and business stakeholders as a strategic partner, ensuring clear, continuous communication.
- Works closely with line of business and IT teams to ensure that both are aligned in strategy, goals, and technology solutions.
Travel Requirements - 10 %.
Education, Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor degree in Information Systems, or Computer Science preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work effectively
- Strong understanding and practical experience writing EPIC, User Stories, and task definitions.
- Deadline driven with strong attention to detail
- Sound business judgment and decision-making abilities
- Strategic Business Process Automation skills
- Customer Service and Quality focused with proven process improvement skills
- Innovative problem solving, analytical, and execution skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work within and in support of a team environment
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field (Finance, Full Stack Development, Business Analytics, Software Implementation, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience with the financial application and deal lifecycles including deal credit approval, deal and fund risk rating tracking and approvals.
- Knowledge of alternative investments (Private and Public Credit/Debt)
- Must possess very strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Technology and Process release management experience
- Experience with business process reengineering initiatives; modeling and analyzing (as-is/to-be) processes, mapping primary and exception workflows, and identifying business rules is required
- Experience with Agile methodology preferred, working knowledge of Agile ceremonies.
- Experience with SQL is required
- Experience with change management
- 2-3 years’ experience as Product Owner preferred
- Experience with automated workflow solutions is preferred
- Experience with Azure DevOps/JIRA and ServiceNow
- Experience developing training curriculum and material is a plus
Preferred:
- Experience with data analysis preferred

Annual base salary gross: $135,000 - $155,000 (NY only). The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of the ORIX USA’s salary for this position. Actual base salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base pay is one component of ORIX USA’s total compensation package for employees.
