The ETF Product Analyst offers an exciting opportunity to engage in the growing exchange traded fund business within a well-respected asset manager. You will play an integral role in the creation of product, pricing, promotion, communication, and distribution strategies crafted to achieve annual strategic business objectives.
Major Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of American Century Investment’s global ETF products (U.S., UCITS, Cross-listings), multiple asset classes, investment approaches (quantitative and fundamental) and structures (index-based, active, and semi-transparent active)
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of all product components – investments, legal, accounting, operations, external partners, taxation, regulatory environment, etc.
- Assist in formulating and implementation of business-building initiatives, including collaboration with investment and distribution teams as well as senior management and Fund Boards on new ETF product launches.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the portfolio managers on assigned strategies; stay informed on investment issues including performance expectations in various market environments and portfolio fit.
- Monitor competitive environment, including performance and ratings, to determine key activities and trends; recommend actions needed to maintain and improve American Century Investments’ competitive market position.
- Assist in the research related to new products, existing products, thought leadership pieces, and other American Century ETF strategic business initiatives.
- Assist in the development of recurring reports highlighting product performance versus peers, key performance drivers as well as industry trends.
- Articulate complex investment topics to a diverse audience using strong verbal and written communication skills; assist in training and development initiatives.
Qualification/Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (economics, finance, accounting) required. Graduate degree, CFA (or CFA candidate) preferred
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in an asset manager, investment advisory firm, investment bank, etc.
- Knowledge of asset allocation, portfolio construction, index construction methodologies and tax-management strategies required. ETF experience a plus.
- Experience with Morningstar Direct, FactSet, and/or Bloomberg required
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, relationship building, and collaborative skills.
- Be comfortable in a setting that requires multi-tasking and flexibility in accommodating needed requests
For New York based candidates, the salary range for this role is $105K - $125K. Actual offers are based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s location, skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. This position is eligible for cash incentive providing the potential to earn more.
