What Is in It for You:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Data Governance – the Data Enablement Associate Director works as part of the SLC Data Enablement Team to support the implementation of new data governance tools and related processes, with a focus on enterprise data cataloging, metadata management, business glossary, data quality and change management.
This role will work closely with business data owners / stewards, Data Analysts and other business partners to ensure data governance standards, policies and best practices are understood and applied consistently across the organization. This role will play a leading role in operationalizing data quality and data governance activities across the IX and CX platforms and ensure our data can be trusted, is of good quality and can be used in decision making.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Supporting the Senior Director in ensuring adherence to an enterprise data governance framework and for operationalizing Master Data Management, Metadata Management, Data Access, and other data policies, standards, and practices to meet overall business needs
Partnering with data analysts, business teams and data / technology partners to resolve data quality issues, creating data definitions, and influencing others to consistently implement data governance policies, process, and standards.
Contribute to the development of requirements to monitor data compliance as well as KPIs and metrics to gauge the health and adoption of data governance across the enterprise and line of business
Support enterprise data enablement by coordinating with Data Stewards to achieve required governance coverage for investment data
Contribute to the development of appropriate materials, conducting training sessions and be the change advocate to drive data governance best practices
Provide inputs on the design and development of data models for data warehousing and cataloging projects
Partner to identify and define shared key business terms, definitions, business rules, quality requirements, critical data elements, and align consistently across the enterprise
Escalate and vet issues and conflicts
Provide ongoing access, maintenance, usage, and technical support for our Data Governance Tool inventory including Collibra
Advocate teamwork and be forthcoming and transparent by liaising with the Senior Director, Business Stewards, and projects to drive and manage change in a large complex matrix organization
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Professional accreditation with over 6 years’ experience in data management / data governance; experience in Investments preferred
Strong working knowledge of technical solutions specifically data management best practices in asset management sector or financial services
Experience with Collibra and Informatica Data Quality preferred
Experience with Change Management preferred
Proven experience in developing and executing innovative options and solutions
Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and team building skills
Strong results-oriented project management skills; well organized, with a high attention to detail
Able to work independently on assignments with limited supervision, and demonstrate resourcefulness and perseverance in solving problems and removing roadblocks
Excellent interpersonal skills with high level of emotional intelligence required to build relationships and influence peers and partners.
Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment across multiple sites

The Base Pay range is for the primary location of the job. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
