Position Summary
The Investment team is responsible for the origination, structuring, execution, and monitoring of NAV finance investments across North America and Europe. The team consists of more than 30 investment professionals located across New York, San Francisco, Dubai, and London, boasting decades of transaction experience.
17Capital is seeking to hire a Senior Associate / Vice President within its Investment team, based in New York. Working alongside other investment professionals, the Senior Associate / Vice President will be a key member of the team focused on structuring, underwriting, and executing a wide range of investments across both preferred equity and NAV loan transactions.
Key job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and presenting investment analyses, recommendations, and supporting memoranda to senior team members and the Investment Committee;
- Working with cross functional teams to manage the counterparty and portfolio due diligence processes, transaction execution, and post-closing monitoring processes;
- Building and reviewing complex financial models used to evaluate investment opportunities;
- Supporting transaction origination efforts, deal structuring, and negotiation processes;
- Preparing investor reporting and materials, and supporting 17Capital’s fundraising initiatives; and
- Training and mentoring of junior investment professionals.
Skillset/Knowledge/Experience Required
- Four (4) to seven (7) years of experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, private credit, secondaries, consulting / advisory, and/or equivalent experience;
- Robust analytical and financial modelling skills, with strong attention to detail;
- High degree of proactivity and ability to produce high-quality work with limited supervision;
- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative working relationships across the organisation;
- Ability to manage workflows in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Can demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $155k – $230k. Salaries may vary based on factors, such as skills, experience, and qualifications for the role, as determined by the Company at its sole discretion. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation.
