Your Team Responsibilities
The Index Marketing team is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategy and campaigns to support MSCI’s ambitious Index business growth objectives. The marketing organization at MSCI is a dynamic and fast-growing global function responsible for marketing and communicating our solutions and services to the world’s investors to help them build better portfolios.
As a leading provider of data and tools, we continue to grow our global footprint with institutional investors, asset/wealth managers, banks, hedge funds, pension funds, advisors, and corporations.
This is a highly collaborative role, with great opportunity for impact, and will involve working across MSCI product lines, and with members of the marketing team in PR, design, digital, email, events, and content.

Your Key Ressponsibilities
The Index Product Marketing Specialist will report into the Global Head of Index Marketing and work closely with the team leads across sales, product, marketing, and research.
The candidate should have a strong background in product marketing and marketing communications with an emphasis on creating messaging, competitive positioning, and go to market campaigns.
The ideal candidate is a savvy, creative professional with at least 10 years of relevant experience who takes pride in being a proactive, ambitious, and self-directed individual with a deep understanding of the Index industry and its ecosystem.
Key responsibilities
- Works closely with Global Head of Index Marketing to develop marketing plans to stimulate ongoing interest and growth in Index solutions globally.
- Develop comprehensive marketing strategies and plans tailored to promote Index products to drive ongoing revenue growth and to support special initiatives as needed.
- Collaborate closely with the product management, sales, and research teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments. Conduct market research to identify target segments, understand client needs, and inform product positioning.
- Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives and provide actionable insights to help guide strategies for brand positioning, client retention and development, product innovation, and industry partnerships.
- Utilize data-driven insights to optimize campaign performance and maximize ROI, continuously refining strategies based on key metrics and outcomes.
- Develop and refine value propositions for Index products and services, articulating the unique benefits and advantages they offer to our target customers.
- Partner closely with the Centre of Excellence (COE) team to execute multi-channel marketing campaigns aimed at driving lead generation, engagement, and conversion. Utilize digital marketing tactics, events, webinars, and thought leadership initiatives to amplify the reach and impact of marketing efforts.
- Manages and expands the relationship with partners, suppliers, and sustainable industry associations.
- Manages and executes the allocated budget and report on ROI of launches and wider campaigns.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in related field
- 10+ years of experience in marketing within the financial services industry, with a focus on Index products.
- Good understanding of the Index market and how it impacts the investment process.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Confident self-starter with proven leadership qualities, strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing marketing materials in the financial services sector.
