Job Summary:
As the Principal Director, Program Management, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of Envestnet’s portfolio of projects & programs aligned with the organizational goals. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in both program and project management. The Principal Director, Program Management plays a critical role in driving organizational success by overseeing the planning and execution of strategic initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Oversee Envestnet’s portfolio of internal projects/programs.
- Develop and implement strategic plans that align with organizational objectives and priorities.
- Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and optimization through strategic initiatives.
- Translate strategic goals into actionable project/program objectives.
- Ensure each project/program has a comprehensive launch/go-to-market/implementation strategy.
- Design internal readiness and/or external awareness strategies for seamless execution and adoption.
- Program/Project Management:
- Lead a team of Program Managers for the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple programs/projects across the organization.
- Oversee comprehensive project/program plans, including scope, timelines, deliverables, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Monitor project/program progress, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Maintain a high-level of technical knowledge to identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies across projects/programs.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and project teams, using influence to gain stakeholder support necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Communicate project/program status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and resolve conflicts.
- Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership and direction to teams, ensuring clarity of goals, roles, and responsibilities.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, promoting teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and coach Program Managers to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Resource Management:
- Allocate resources effectively to support project/program priorities and optimize utilization of talent and budget.
- Identify resource gaps and proactively address staffing needs through recruitment, training, or outsourcing.
- Quality Assurance:
- Establish and enforce quality standards and best practices for project/program management and delivery.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to assess project/program quality and compliance with standards and requirements.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of project/program management practices.
- Foster a culture of learning and innovation, encouraging experimentation and knowledge sharing.
- Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
- As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, operations, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred
- PMP or other relevant certifications a plus
- 10 + years of proven experience in strategic program and project management, with a track record of successfully leading complex initiatives from conception to completion.
- Experience working in financial services and/or fintech industries preferred
- Experience running projects through the software development lifecycle (SDLC) preferred
- Experience developing go-to-market (GTM) and launch strategies for new products/services preferred
- Experience transforming the client engagement experience preferred
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g., Agile, Jira).
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional, global teams.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving organizational objectives.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex ideas and information to diverse audiences.

Salary:
The annual base salary range for this position is $164,000 to $246,000.
