OverviewBayview Asset Management, LLC seeks a Senior Associate, Valuation in our New York, NY office to: hold responsibility for monthly IPV process over BAM’s global portfolio using external data sources and internal models; assist in day-to-day management including, but not limited to, checking daily and monthly pricing feeds from multiple vendors, trade back testing, stale price checks, escalation to senior management, and completion of ad-hoc deliverables; prepare summaries to review results with Valuation AVP, Valuation Supervisor; analyze key valuation drivers and structures, waterfalls, cash flow triggers, loan origination process, pricing models, servicing, market trends, technical factors, collateral characteristics, and government actions that impact valuation; prepare key schedules for the monthly valuation committee meetings; responsible for day-to-day interactions and set up with third party pricing vendors; and ensure existing supporting technology is optimally utilized and evaluate manual tasks for further automation.
This position allows for a hybrid schedule with three (3) days in office and two (2) days remote.
Minimum Requirements:Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Finance or Risk Management, or related field, plus three (3) years of experience as a Valuation Controller, Valuation Risk Controller, IPV Controller, or related, and experience specifically with each of the following: valuation experience across Securitized Products including CMBS, CLOs, RMBS, and ABS, for cash flow analysis, valuation and pricing; Excel; VBA; ASC820; must have two (2) years of experience with INTEX; and must have three (3) years pricing and valuation experience at an asset management firm, advisory/consulting firm or similar.
Salary: $150,000 - $160,600/year
