We are actively seeking a Quantitative Trader/Coder to join our Fixed Income Institutional Sales & Trading team in our Chicago, New York or Miami office.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement quantitative models and algorithms to enhance trading strategies
- Improve the performance and reliability of trading systems
- Validate trading strategies through rigorous back-testing and simulations
- Manage and integrate large datasets for quantitative analysis
- Collaborate with traders to understand their needs and provide technical solutions
- Maintain high standards of code quality through best development practices
- Stay informed on the latest trends and advancements in quantitative finance and technology
- Focus on refining and advancing trading systems and mission-critical applications
- Collaborate with quants, traders, and researchers to enhance system adaptability and scalability
- Contribute to the development of innovative trading applications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related Engineering/Science discipline
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Preferable experience in the credit markets
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, Java, or similar
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience collaborating with trading desks to enhance workflows and implement new processes.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated, and capable of excelling in a fast-paced environment.
In accordance with Illinois and New York City’s Pay Transparency Law, the anticipated hiring base salary for the role will be between $100,000 and $200,000 per year. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, also provides the opportunity for a discretionary bonus and the Mesirow benefit program.
