What you'll be doing
The Private Banking Advisor’s primary purpose is identifying, cultivating and introducing new private wealth management relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, endowments and foundations. This person is aligned with Private Banking and works closely building a team around the clients that includes Private Bankers, Asset Relationship Managers, Wealth Specialists, and other CIBC lines of business (commercial, capital markets) to orchestrate a cohesive value proposition to a client or prospect.
The Private Banking Advisor’s specific focus is growth through new relationships and opportunities as well as greater expansion of existing relationships.
Identify, Source and Lead new high net worth client relationships that utilize CIBC’s Private Wealth Platform and solutions which includes Private Banking Loans, Deposits and Assets under Management & Administration.
Individual will be the lead overall strategy of the relationship, serving as a trusted advisor, while surrounding the relationship with specialists (Private Banker, Investment Manager and Trust Advisor).
Focus on external calling and marketing.
Ensure weekly CRM/Salesforce accuracy for pipeline/calls.
Establish and maintain effective partnerships and teamwork to ensure a level of service delivery that is professional, seamless and timely. Serve as client’s primary client advisor while introducing and supporting the team to deliver specific products and solutions. Cultivates relationships with referral sources and centers of influence to build the business; identifies and develops new business opportunities.
Guide client conversations for life driven wealth management through proactive advice.
Demonstrate a deep well rounded knowledge of Wealth Advisory solutions including banking products/offerings, asset management, estate and financial planning and capital markets.
Identify opportunities for relationship expansion across all CIBC lines of business through referral opportunities to the appropriate experts to deliver specialized advice.
Contribute to the overall CIBC Wealth Management growth through the acquisition of new, high net worth and ultra‐high net worth clients who have sophisticated financial needs, including banking, investments, trust, and wealth advisory.
Develop and maintain personal referral source networks for calling on individuals, families and institutions to build a pipeline of business prospects.
Understand and comply with internal policies, processes and procedures to effect prudent risk management and judgment. Recognizes relationship risk issues and seeks appropriate resolution
Invest, mentor and assist in the growth and development of others.
Work collaboratively with internal partners and external professional advisors in identifying client needs and goals and developing advice‐driven solutions for clients.
Travel to meet with clients where appropriate considering revenue, new business opportunities, or servicing requirements.

Who you are
A highly dynamic sales professional with a successful track record of business development, relationship management, and proven ability to effectively gather wealth management assets and deliver banking solutions.
You have demonstrated experience working in a team environment, introducing the appropriate partners and suite of investment, trust, and banking solutions to high-net-worth individuals, families and institutions.
You have a minimum 10 years of experience in high-net-worth wealth management or a related asset, lending or deposit growth field.
You have demonstrated knowledge of credit, lending, investment strategy, trust administration and wealth management solutions.

You have a bachelor’s degree and/or advanced degree or certification including MBA, JD, formal credit training, CFP, CFA, CTFA or CPA preferred.
Series 7, 63 and 65, or 66, will not be held or required.
At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $225,000 - $275,000 for Palm Beach, FL market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.
The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. Additional total compensation and benefits details will be provided during the hiring process.
