Responsibilities
Based in Stamford, CT, this position will be part of the Information Technology Infrastructure and Operations team. The IT I&O team is part of the global Information Technology organization and oversees the firm’s technology infrastructure including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, Data Center Operations, Network Engineering, Technology Services, IT Governance & Release Management, Database Administration and Cybersecurity. It is expected the candidate would work in the office 3 days per week as part of our Hybrid working model.
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Manage and maintain the systems used to support the Stamford trading desk, including the trading, order management and portfolio accounting systems
- Manage and maintain Data Center technologies, including Cisco UCS, Dell VXRail servers, Dell EMC Powerstore and Unity SANs
- Administer Windows servers, including operating systems and related technologies
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot VMware ESXi hypervisors
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Configure and manage Cisco and Arista switches and routers
- Support and configure Palo Alto Firewalls, including creating ACLs, policies, URL filtering, and other related tasks
- Harden and secure Windows and VMware servers, ensuring timely application of security patches and updates.
- Monitor systems and network performance
- Perform regular backups and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity
- Support LAN, WAN, and WiFi networks, including Meraki WiFi networks
- Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to support business needs
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and network configurations
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and other staff
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience in IT Systems Administration and Network Engineering
- Extensive experience with Data Center technologies: Cisco UCS, Dell VXRail servers, Dell EMC Powerstore and Unity SANs, and NetApp Filer
- Strong Windows server administration skills, including Active Directory, Group Policy Management, DNS, DHCP, File and Print services, and SCCM
- Proficiency with VMware ESXi hypervisors, including vCenter Server management, VM provisioning, cloning, and snapshots, Resource allocation and performance monitoring
- Experience designing and building solutions for High Availability and Disaster Recovery configurations
- In-depth knowledge of networking technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, EIGRP, and BGP
- Experience with designing and implementing VLANs, STP, and VTP
- Strong experience with Cisco and Arista switches and routers, including Configuration and management, Routing and switching protocols
- Experience in network monitoring and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting Palo Alto Firewalls, including creating ACLs, policy creation and management, URL filtering, and security profile configuration
- Experience with Meraki WiFi networks
- Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot complex IT systems and networks.
- Experience in hardening and securing Windows and VMware servers, including timely application of security patches.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good experience in writing scripts using PowerShell, Python, etc.

Education

Base Salary Range
$175,000-225,000
In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement. The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
