We have a Product Marketing, Recordkeeping Marketing Strategist opportunity open. This role is aligned to our Institutional Investor Group (IIG) Recordkeeping (RK) business, focusing on Plan Sponsors as the primary audience. As a Product Marketing, Recordkeeping Marketing Strategist within RK Product Marketing, this role is responsible for developing strategies, aligned plans and leading execution across all Marketing channels. Supporting our nurture, always on strategy as well as our full funnel ABM program which includes in-person selling channels as well as Marketing owned are key responsibilities for this role.
Ideal candidate will have a strategic marketing background, be innovative, creative and audience focused. Managing relationships within Marketing and across IIG is key to success. A strong candidate will be able to handle ambiguity, have a positive attitude and a collaborative, lets win mentality.
Responsibilities
- Independently initiates and/or leads product marketing programs, initiatives, promotions, or research projects. Identifies opportunities for developing new products, improving existing products, applying products in various markets, and extending product lines.
- Creates product marketing plans by translating business objectives into defined marketing goals, strategies, and tactics. Participates in the development and pricing of new products and enhancements and works with business and communications to develop roll out strategies and timelines. Develops and tracks metrics for success.
- Provides guidance and consultation on marketing best practices and common obstacles based on prior experiences. Monitors and analyzes product and marketplace trends, client needs, and competitive offerings across applicable market to directs marketing plans.
- Serves as a trusted advisor and internal expert to ensure the right solution is developed for various partners. Proactively communicates status and issues of marketing activity regularly to stakeholders, including sales professionals, business leaders, team members, and senior managers.
- Builds and maintains effective relationships. Proactively fosters communication between internal department and external departments stakeholders. Influences key decisions across stakeholder groups.
- Proactively identifies, manages, and mitigates risks on marketing activities. Communicates solutions on key issues on marketing activity to management and stakeholders to obtain their input and buy-in as appropriate.
- Educates the marketing team on the features, benefits, and associated messaging for all products and ensures these are consistently applied across all channels. May serve as a mentor and role model for less experienced product marketing crew.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years related work experience, two years of marketing experience.Working knowledge of Vanguard’s investment product line-up and an understanding of the overall investment markets.
- Undergraduate degree in Marketing or equivalent experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
