Position Summary:
MUFG is seeking an Associate or Vice President to join the Securitized Products Group to assist in the structuring of warehouse and term ABS issuance transactions in off the run asset classes. MUFG is a market leader in securitized products and providing innovative financing solutions to address client needs.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in new opportunities in both lending and capital market transactions
- Develop and harmonize modeling / data / automation and standardize record retention
- Support capital markets execution (rating agencies, AUP, legal) and lending facility documentation (models, docs, etc.)
- Ongoing connectivity with existing and developing clients
- Identify additional subsector growth opportunities within the bank through connectivity with various industry verticals and coverage groups
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including credit risk, syndicate, sales and trading teams and with third parties such as legal counsel, accountants, rating agencies and investors to execute transactions
- Oversee monitoring of conduit positions within specific origination subsectors
We require:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher
- A minimum of 5 years related ABS or modeling work experience
- Strong analytical and modeling skill
- Strong decision-making skills, the ability to demonstrate sound judgment
- Industry knowledge and relationships with rating agencies and / or issuers and investors in non-flow asset classes
- Detailed understanding of transaction structures, including legal and analytical details
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and highly collaborative
- Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability
- A creative and innovative approach to work
The typical base pay range for this role is between $175K - $247K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
