Role Description:
The Vice President – Structured Products is part of the Firm’s investment team and is responsible for working as an integral member of our Structured Products group. This person will be responsible for supporting the investment strategies of the Firm with a focus on Working Capital Finance investments including Accounts Receivable Financing, Supply Chain Financing, Inventory Financing, and other structured credit opportunities. Partnering with the investment team, they will be responsible for the fundamental structural risk analysis on investments with a keen eye toward risk mitigation. Serving as a key liaison between the investment team and our external counsel on transactions across diligence, underwriting, and execution, this person will also be responsible for working across multiple areas in the Firm including strategic initiatives, new product development, legal, investor relations, marketing, and internal and external communications, among others.
Evolution Credit Partners seeks an experienced structuring person that has worked in financial services, has a strong desire to work across the Firm and its various business lines in an entrepreneurial manner, possesses a deep interest in and understanding of the credit and Working Capital Finance markets, and will be able to contribute immediately to expanding the Firm's structuring capabilities. This position is in New York, NY or Boston, MA.
The Vice President – Structured Products will be encouraged and held responsible to undertake the following:
- Calibrate financing needs and structures for prospective counterparties
- Design and execute Working Capital Finance and risk mitigation credit solutions
- Lead specific aspects of the business development process including industry/market research, deal origination and qualification, and relationship building for the Firm
- Participate in the credit underwrite by identifying and explaining structural aspects, risks, and mitigants
- Develop and negotiate transaction term sheets
- Coordinate with legal counsel resources and negotiate documentation
- Support the Structured Products team across its management of credit insurance
- Demonstrate solid portfolio risk skills
- Work collaboratively with Middle Office and Finance team to execute transactions in a smooth manner
- Adhere to investment processes and operational standards of Evolution Credit Partners
Skills, Experience and Education:
- 5-10 years of structured finance experience in banking, insurance, private credit, and/or other relevant fields
- Strong knowledge of Working Capital Finance product suite, including a strong working knowledge across Accounts Receivable Financing, Supply Chain Financing, Inventory Financing, Letters of Credit, and other risk participation structures
- Excellent credit analytical skills demonstrated through prior relevant experience
- Significant experience with investment documentation and legal negotiations
- Enthusiastic team player and flexible in approach with ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills for interactions with investors, investment targets, and other key third parties
- Excellent written communication skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
