About
As a seasoned Director of Investor Relations, I supported senior management, and I reported directly to a former Vice Chairman of Deutsche Bank N.A. regarding investor relations and business development strategy, execution, and communications while collaborating with external and internal parties. Additionally, I was tasked with project management initiatives for high priority firm-wide projects given my skillset of getting projects completed, as needed.
As for an overview of my background, I am fortunate to be able to consistently assist extremely high-performing professionals during my career. Also, I am grateful to have proven myself with increased responsibility and recognition throughout my career.
After graduating college, I joined Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette building my financial analysis skills where I supported a future CFO at Bridgewater Associates, LP. After business school, I increased my skill set to include brand management and strategy by joining the DMI Group at Maybelline International which was led by Emma Walmsley, who is CEO of GlaxoSmithKline. My last project at the company was focused on globally launching a category for the brand. Further in my career, I worked with institutional investors and continued to develop business plans at Bear Stearns & Co./J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. where I worked for over ten years. During my tenure, I was promoted from Associate to Executive Director. While at the company, I managed everything from organizing events, planning conferences as well as developing business plans, taking care of investors, alternative investment firms and additional firm clients as well as collaborating with colleagues and fostering relationships with other departments. It was specifically highlighted in my reviews that I worked well with other departments and across other divisions.
At my last employer, I joined the organization as the eleventh employee and at peak, the company had over 1,500 employees. I enjoyed the entrepreneurial experience and the opportunities it brought. During my tenure, I performed many tasks. This involved managing the needs and operations of the firm as it continued to grow and evolve. For example, I created internal procedures and processes for the investor relations department, drafted a variety of documents, collaborated on strategic projects, worked closely with and across other departments including key messaging points for the c-suite. As part of being my responsibilities, I oversaw several tasks which I was recognized for my efforts. Additionally, I effectively ensured projects kept moving forward in a systematic, organized manner.
When needed and requested, I was a project manager and successfully executed several ad hoc projects with little oversight. For example, I executed the go public investor communication needs, led a global event product launch, oversaw a research project, helped streamline vendor relationships, and created the company’s corporate branding encompassing the company’s logo and original website design. Lastly, I assisted with managing relationships (external and internal) as well as strategic priorities.
As for working with others, I foster teamwork and work well engaging with colleagues, c-suite, board members, investors, clients, vendors, and external parties. Furthermore, I am consistently trusted with my discretion of confidential business information.
