About
I feel that I would be a valuable asset to your team given my strengths in both business development as well as execution, predominantly within Mergers and Acquisitions as well as Private Equity. These strengths have been honed since beginning my career at Blackstone. Since that point, I have closed transactions amounting to an aggregate value of over $25 billion in both investment banking as well as private equity capacities. While I have been a generalist with respect to sector coverage for the majority of my career, I have developed niches for myself in a number of sectors, including technology (including SaaS and fintech), software, healthcare and medical devices, media, gaming, consumer products, retail, green technology, alternative fuels, natural resources, real estate, lodging, aerospace and business services / business process outsourcing ("BPO"), in addition to a strong focus on intellectual property. Furthermore, my transaction experience spans a broad array of corporate sizes and situations, including public and private entities, family-owned situations, joint ventures, corporate partnerships and defense from hostile acquisitions. Finally, I have amassed a deep rolodex of both corporate as well as private equity and family office contacts across a wide breadth of industries and sizes.
In 2014 I established and was the Managing Director and Head of Global Strategic Advisory, M&A and Valuation at Albeck, which provides strategic, M&A and financial advisory as well as valuation services to public and private companies of all sizes for a variety of purposes. For the past several years, as part of my efforts for Albeck, I have been part of a SPAC, one of Albeck’s clients, for which I effectively ran all of its transactions, including target identification, due diligence and execution. Please note that for public company disclosure purposes the resume does not include my work with the SPAC with which I began working in 2021, for which we ultimately focused on a $2.6 billion transaction. In my capacity at the SPAC I’ve led the entire deal process and team, from the identification of each of the potential targets, to target valuations and due diligence, to the negotiation and execution of the merger, to facilitating the closing. And once again, I led this deal – throughout the entire life of the process, from inception to closing.
Prior to Albeck, I was appointed the Head of M&A and Managing Director at Ashir Group, a boutique investment bank predominantly focused upon US and Chinese companies who wish to access the American capital markets or require other US investment banking services, such as M&A. During my tenure at Ashir, I successfully built a pipeline representing transaction fees in excess of $45 million. It should be noted, however, that throughout my career, my overall experience has truly been global in nature with a significant level of domestic as well as cross-border deal flow.
My experience at both bulge-bracket institutions as well as boutique investment banks and private equity firms have given me a unique and very well-rounded perspective enabling me to be truly value-added with respect to strategic and financial advisory and investments as well as corporate strategy and development, while maintaining a very strong sense of creativity and objectivity.
Please call me to discuss this in greater detail. My number is 917-601-8859.
