CFA Level 3 Candidate, August 2025
About
With seven years of experience in hedge fund manager research and traditional asset management, I have amassed a wide range of investment strategy/product knowledge and practiced strong collaborative relationships with various stakeholders across investment cycles. I am a reentry candidate and am flexible in looking for opportunities within alternative or traditional asset management in any roles around product/strategy/investor relations/marketing/client servicing in either Institutional if not HNW clients.
I am actively seeking to return to work after sixteen years of family sabbatical living abroad in Frankfurt and Munich, Germany.
In 2008, I left my professional career at Northern Trust as a hedge fund research analyst at Assistant Vice President level. One of a six generalists responsible for identifying hedge fund managers at Northern Trust, my responsibilities included sourcing, conducting qualitative and quantitative onsite due diligence, writing investment memos to present to the investment committee, participate in top-down portfolio allocation discussions, and ongoing manager coverage across multiple portfolio mandates. In this capacity, I attended numerous Capital Introduction Investor conferences, off and onsite meetings for introductions to +300 managers annually.
At Julius Baer Investment Management as a junior quantitative research analyst, I focused on risk assessment and data-driven content delivery within the Fund of Hedge Funds group. Earlier roles at Capital Counsel and Index Funds Advisors further strengthened my foundation in investment management, where I gained experience in trading, client servicing, portfolio analysis, and investor presentations. These cross-functional roles have solidified my understanding to a successful investment management.
Decision to take sabbatical from work to manage our young growing family overseas has taught me the importance of agility and adaptability to navigate successfully in foreign systems and new paradigms. This time away from the office crystallized my desire for professional growth and my own career. We recently repatriated back to the States in Westchester County. Determined to reenter the financial industry, I turned to the CFA Institute for review and have passed up to CFA level 2 and am currently registered for the CFA level 3 exam.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss with you in detail about the possibility of employment. My adaptability, analytical mindset, and commitment to continuous learning make me a strong candidate to get up and running in this role on day one.
