About
Professionally, I have approx. 10 years of fundamental equity research experience in both sellside and buyside analyst capacities. In turn, I have covered companies in a range of sectors (TMT, Healthcare, Industrials, Consumer), market caps and geographies (North America, Europe, Japan). At my most recent fund, we sought to uncover competitively-advantaged companies capable of growing their intrinsic value over time and trading at attractive valuations reflecting investor misconceptions. This required in-depth research and modeling, and the composition of high-conviction investment memos for which I was well-prepared from my time in Columbia Business School’s Value Investing Program. Through it, I improved my ability to formulate theses, identify sustainable competitive advantages and appreciate the perspective of a long-term investor through stock pitch competitions, case studies and access to mentors. Prior to business school, I worked as a sell-side associate analyst establishing a strong foundation by performing primary research and financial modeling, as well as meeting with management teams and presenting investment conclusions to institutional investors. These efforts resulted in industry recognition via the 2015 Starmine Award for Estimates Accuracy and consistent progression in the annual Institutional Investor surveys, as well as dozens of broker votes from grateful buyside customers. These experiences have prepared me to succeed in the active investment management industry.
