We are currently seeking a Vice President, Client Reporting to join our team.
The Vice President of Client Reporting will oversee the production and quality of client reporting deliverables, ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful reports. This is a hands-on role requiring expertise in portfolio accounting and/or performance reporting, keen attention to detail, and a deep understanding of reporting tools like Seismic or Vermilion. As a leader within the organization, the VP will supervise a team, ensuring adherence to best practices and fostering a culture of excellence. Experience in client service is highly valued, as the role involves direct collaboration with client-facing teams and occasionally with clients.
What You Will Do:
- Manage the end-to-end process of client reporting, ensuring timely and accurate distribution of reports to institutional and retail clients.
- Design, review, and enhance reporting templates in alignment with client and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Client Portfolio Managers (CPMs) to customize reporting for high-value clients, including performance metrics, portfolio analysis, investment team overlays, and more.
- Partner with Aristotle’s Performance and Operations Oversight teams to ensure the accuracy of portfolio-level data, client performance analytics and attribution reporting, utilizing FactSet and outsource providers.
- Collaborate with CPMs and other client-facing teams to produce relevant client-facing materials.
- Oversee the use and optimization of Seismic for client reporting, ensuring proper functionality and leveraging its features including workflow capabilities to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT and data management to integrate Seismic with Aristotle’s data warehouse and other sources of portfolio level data and analytics as needed.
- Look for ways to leverage AI where viable to create efficiencies without risking data accuracy and integrity.
- Manage a team of reporting analysts, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement processes to enhance team productivity and accuracy in deliverables.
- Plan and evaluate department policies, processes, priorities, and performance goals.
- Motivate direct reports by providing positive feedback and skills development.
- Instill within the team a focus on putting clients first, taking pride in all work produced, and always holding ourselves to the highest levels of integrity and accountability.
- Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Develop, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Establish strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information.
- Act as a liaison with senior level management and other department managers by developing productive, collaborative relationships and utilizing clear and effective communication.
- Partner with onboarding to understand reporting needs and SLAs for new clients.
- Work closely with client-facing teams to address client-specific reporting requests and ensure a client-first approach in all deliverables.
- Support client-facing efforts by preparing and reviewing materials for client meetings and presentations.

- Partner with Compliance as needed to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of disclosures in client reports.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies to recommend and implement best practices in client reporting.
What You Will Need:
- 8+ years of experience in client reporting within the investment management industry, preferably at a large buy-side or multi-affiliate firm.
- Experience working in client service or directly with clients is a plus.
- Experience working with equity and fixed income portfolios, multiple domestic and global client types, and multiple investment vehicles including separate and sub-advised accounts and CITs preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Advanced degree or CFA designation is a plus.
- Proficient in Seismic, Vermilion or similar client reporting platforms.
- Strong knowledge of portfolio accounting and performance and analytics data.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualization tools.
- Proficient in Adobe Pro and the entire Microsoft Suite.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex data clearly and effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a client-first approach.

Compensation Range: $155,000.00 - $180,000.00, plus discretionary bonus.
Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, education, internal equity, and physical work location within the state.
This is a hybrid role, based in our Los Angeles, CA office or Newport Beach, CA office.
