Our Company
Oaktree is a leader among global investment managers specializing in alternative investments, with $205 billion in assets under management as of September 30, 2024. The firm emphasizes an opportunistic, value-oriented, and risk-controlled approach to investments in credit, private equity, real assets, and listed equities. The firm has over 1,200 employees and offices in 23 cities worldwide.
Our investment philosophy consists of six enduring tenets: risk control, consistency, market inefficiency, specialization, de-emphasis of macro-forecasting and disavowal of market timing. These tenets are central to our opportunistic and value-oriented approach.
Our mission is to deliver superior investment results with risk under control and to conduct business with the highest integrity. Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) considerations are a critical component of achieving this mission. ESG factors directly and materially impact investment outcomes, and a concerted and consistent focus on ESG throughout the investment lifecycle allows us to avoid undue risk and better identify valuable opportunities.
