The Public Employees Retirement System is recruiting for an Image information Technician (Office Specialist 1)
- This is a full-time, permanent position.
- This position is based at our headquarters office in Tigard, Oregon and the successful candidate will be required to work full time in the office.
- This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.
- This position is represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

What you will be doing:
As an Image information Technician (Office Specialist 1) you will support the Agency and its business units by facilitating the processing and management of Agency records within electronic content and microfilm repositories. Responsibilities include the preparation and processing of physical, microfilm, and electronic documents or records. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in computer operations, file manipulation, and information management within a production-oriented environment. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to teamwork, and the ability to handle repetitive tasks with precision and consistency

Minimum Qualifications Required:
Image Information Technician (Office Specialist 1)
One year of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents.
OR
An equivalent combination of experience and college coursework or training in a general office occupation.
Candidates who are the most competitive will possess the following skills, background, and areas of experience:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Organized and motivated to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals. Able to prioritize time and resources accordingly.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience working with high volume scanning equipment and indexing software.
- Positive attitude and strong ability to collaborate with co-workers and thrive in an environment of respect and diversity.
- Ability to manage emotional subject matter
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to complete repetitive work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to manipulate electronic files and experience using computers and software programs.
