Position Summary
KKR is seeking an investment analyst at the Analyst/Associate level to join the Structured Credit Portfolio Management team in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will bring 1-4 years of relevant experience to the role and will be expected to assist the team with the following tasks:
- Recommending trades based on relative value or to improve portfolio metrics, presenting to investment committee on trade ideas and market update.
- Monitoring CLO portfolio performance and improving in house analytical infrastructure supporting portfolio management
- Working with traders, legal and middle office to monitor investment guideline compliance
- Researching thematic topics in the structured credit/ABS space
- Performing pre-trade compliance and allocating trades in accordance with portfolio guidelines
- Assisting in the monitoring of credit risk across portfolios
- Liaising with the research team to stay current on earnings, sector news and fundamentals
- Responding to investor or ad-hoc PM requests
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Background in CLO/structured credit trading, structuring or investing
- Base understanding of the Leveraged Loan product with emphasis on CLO experience, ABS experience a plus
- Proficient at navigating through fund compliance documentation and CLO indentures
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills to liaise with investors and various groups across KKR Credit & Markets
- Strong intellectual curiosity and the ability to roll up sleeves and perform deep dive investment analysis
- Strong analytical background and proficiency in financial modeling, statistical analysis tools & programming languages (Python or R)
- Strong background in engineering, computer science, or mathematics is a plus
- Great attention to detail
This is the expected annual base salary range for this San Francisco-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
Base Salary Range
$120,000—$165,000 USD
