Purpose and Job Summary:
The Associate is responsible for processing all corporate cash movement for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac activity, as well as support the team processing FHA, USDA and Balance Sheet corporate activity. Additional responsibilities include processing daily trade settlement wires as needed and providing support to the disbursement team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process all cash movement for corporate and brokerage accounts, wire, ACH, account transfers and check deposits.
- Compile closing wire packets ensuring the required documentation and approvals have been receive and included.
- Monitor advance funding requests and process loan closing wires once authorized.
- Transfer servicing funds on loan closings to the lockbox and notify payments team for posting.
- Monitor and track incoming wires for rate lock deposit, various fees, etc. and send out notification to various departments when funds are received in.
- Update ARC (Account Reconciliation for Closing) with incoming cash deposits for new loan closings.
- Monitor corporate account balances daily and send out daily email notification to upper management with balances held.
- Assist with monitoring daily balances held in operating accounts and processing any pay down or advance requests needed on our internal ORIX lines of credit held.
- Maintain strict compliance with company policies and procedures as well as all federal, state, and local statutes and regulatory requirements.
- Provide overall support to team and/or management as time permits.
- Ensure that all training needs, both technical and interpersonal, are met in a timely manner.
- Participate in special projects as requested.
Education, Skills and Experience:
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business preferred
- Must be proficient in navigating a bank’s website and financial software
- Experience cash handling or accounting experience in a high volume setting
- Precision in handling many sets of interlinking numbers; cash balancing skills
- Proficient with Microsoft applications
- Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion in the performance of daily activities
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and constant interruptions; Ability to adjust priorities in a changing environment
- Professional business image and excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing (spelling, grammar, and punctuation)
