Overview of JNAM
Jackson National Life Insurance Company (Jackson) offers products, tools, and support designed to help Americans plan for a retirement with purpose. Jackson National Asset Management, LLC (JNAM) is the investment manager responsible for selecting and monitoring the asset managers of the JNL Funds – a series of proprietary mutual funds that facilitates investment freedom for contract owners within the Jackson variable annuity platform. JNAMis also responsible for providing accounting and administrative services for the Funds. In addition, JNAM directly manages several risk-based multi-strategy fund-of-fund offerings available exclusively through Jackson products.

Job Purpose
Participates in the daily operations, accounting, and financial reporting for the unit investment trusts (UITs) underlying Jackson's variable annuity (VA) product line. Active contributor in transfer agent duties. Performs a combination of the following duties to support these functions.
Essential Responsibilities
Processes daily cash flows/trade activity and communicates cash flows to fund accountants and sub-advisors. Posts and reconciles daily trading activity for multiple separate accounts.
Calculates and submits daily AUVs (accumulation unit values) for 401k and VA funds. Calculates and accrues daily money market dividends.
Investigates, resolves, and generates accounting transactions/adjustments for daily cash balancing.
Performs month-end reconciliations and creates various reporting for variable account products.
Facilitates money movement to and from financial institutions.
Assists in preparations for fund launches, mergers, name changes, allocation changes and rebalances.
Participates in the annual financial statement preparation for separate accounts.
Performs daily monitoring of transfer agent activities. Communicates with transfer agent staff to resolve operational and shareholder issues.
Participates in preparation of various reports, filings, prospectus and statements of additional information.
Other Duties
Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Must be detail oriented, organized, able to prioritize work and follow through to meet deadlines.
Basic understanding of investment vehicles such as equities, fixed income, derivative securities, etc.
Good analytical and problem solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good data visualization and PC skills including Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and other relevant department software.
Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in business related field required, Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
0-2 years of work experience required.

Base Pay:
$61,000.00 - $77,000.00. The base salary for this position may vary depending on experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition to the base salary, this role will be eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. This role will also be eligible for compensated personal time off and holidays, health benefits, 401(k) plan with generous matching and profit sharing contributions, and other benefit programs according to the Company's employment policies and subject to the formal terms of such plans and programs.
