What is the Global Travel Services group responsible for?
Franklin Templeton Global Travel Services oversees and coordinates business travel arrangements for our employees. Our focus areas include policy compliance, travel technology, risk management, reporting and analysis, vendor management, communication, and support. By effectively managing these elements, we ensure that business travel is well-organized, cost-efficient, and aligned with our company's goals.
What is the Senior Travel Advisor responsible for?
As a Senior Travel Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our business travel is organized, cost-effective, and aligns with our company's overall objectives. You will handle incoming travel requests via multiple channels (phone, email, chat, etc.) and provide detailed consultation on all destination requirements. This position requires an extensive understanding of the travel industry and the ability to perform at an expert level.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Travel Advisor?
- Book corporate travel reservations, focusing on Executive support
- Offer navigational support for Concur, the company's online booking tool
- Provide details on travel and destination requirements or restrictions
- Ensure traveler profiles are complete and up to date
- Confirm travel itineraries comply with Franklin Templeton Global Travel Policy
- Handle unforeseen issues (schedule changes, cancellations, etc.)
- Maintain knowledge of the travel industry, policies, procedures, and processes
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
- Work Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm Pacific Time
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in corporate travel, including complex international reservations
- Extensive knowledge of Sabre Global Distribution System (GDS) and Concur Travel online booking system
- Excellent organizational abilities and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are beneficial
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary—designed to support the whole person and to recognize their time, talents, and results. Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $56,000.00- $68,000.00.
