Program Description
The Technology Rotational Development Program is an eighteen-month program consisting of rotations with various technology teams supporting all aspects of our investment process, including research, portfolio management, trading, trade and regulatory compliance, production-quality - and deployments, and corporate functions. As a member of the program, you will be introduced to a wide range of technologies, systems and processes critical to the firm’s success. You will also have the opportunity to participate in networking events with senior leadership to learn more about the firm’s history, culture and values.
In the first few weeks of employment, you and your cohort will attend introductory sessions led by our technology leaders. The leaders provide an overview of their team, technology stack and opportunities within their respective teams for you and your fellow rotational employees to consider. After the conclusion of those introductory sessions, you will commence the rotation portion of the program and receive role-specific training and exposure to all aspects of software design, development and deployment. You will also gain a valuable understanding of investment research data processing techniques, data modeling, scalable computing environments, analytics, and high-performance system design using AWS services. Arrowstreet leverages both Windows and Linux platforms, allowing for exposure to a wide range of technologies including Python, C#, SQL, JavaScript/Typescript, Spark and Jupyter notebooks, in addition to all the underlying AWS technologies that we leverage to take advantage of elasticity and scalability of cloud deployments. Upon conclusion of the Technology Rotational Development Program, you will have the opportunity to join a team that closely aligns with your skills and interests.
