Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in our Coral Gables office. This role will report directly to the Assistant Controller.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the corporate month-end closing activities, including preparing and reviewing reconciliations and journal entries across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
- Review and analyze complex revenue contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition and billing schedules
- Oversee and track daily analysis of customer collections, addressing any disputed invoices or short payments effectively
- Reconcile all Accounts Receivable and Unbilled Cost accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Create and manage Goods and Services and Project Time and Expense contracts within Workday Financials
- Develop and maintain customer and project databases, ensuring data integrity
- Lead the monthly invoice preparation process, ensuring invoices are detailed, accurate, and promptly distributed to customers
- Monitor customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other anomalies, taking swift action as needed
- Respond to both internal and external revenue recognition inquiries with professionalism and efficiency
- Generate comprehensive incurred cost reports and revenue reports for stakeholders
- Conduct monthly and quarterly reconciliations of accounts and financial reports
- Perform detailed balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
- Drive IT implementation and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Undertake additional duties, analyses, or projects as assigned by Management
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting – Required.
- CPA or progress towards certification – highly preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in a large, reputable company.
- Proven finance experience in a multinational organization with top-tier processes.
- Exceptional capability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in verifying complex financial or transactional data.
- Thorough understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP).
- Experience with financial statement audits, either as an auditor or client.
- Familiarity with Workday or similar ERP systems – a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and pivot tables) is a must.
- Ability to build trust and confidence with business partners, along with a positive attitude, strong leadership, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
