Job Purpose
The Business Continuity Analyst I will support Jackson's enterprise-wide business continuity and crisis management efforts, ensuring the organization's ability to maintain critical operations during and after disruptions. The analyst will assist in facilitating planning sessions with departmental representatives to create and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Business Impact Analysis (BIAs). This position will assist with system maintenance of the web-based software platforms that retain enterprise-wide business continuity documentation and perform emergency notifications. The analyst will develop an understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices to support an effective business continuity program.
Essential Responsibilities
Acts as departmental liaison supporting the development, review, and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Business Impact Analysis (BIAs).
Develops and maintains knowledge of key business processes to ensure awareness and ability to support plans and incident response.
Assists in the development of recovery strategies and contingency plans to mitigate impact.
Develops strong system knowledge with the BC planning and notification software with the ability to test system enhancements and maintain data to ensure consistency.
Serves as a knowledgeable resource, addressing and resolving basic inquiries related to business continuity.
Effectively utilizes business continuity tools to support the program including software administration, access management and data integrity.
Ensures appropriate maintenance and testing of the Jackson Alerts notification system and develops and facilitates training on the use of the system as needed.
Develops and maintains comprehensive program documentation such as procedures, incident and exercise summaries, and other documentation needs.
Supports the crisis response process by coordinating meetings, completing documentation, providing status and conducting after-action review as needed.
Supports the coordination of annual testing for the crisis management team, departmental plans, and other required testing.
Assists with project coordination in support of the Business Continuity Program.
Incorporates the necessary requirements into the Business Continuity Program by developing a strong knowledge of the Jackson BCM policy and industry standards. Identifies opportunities to improve the program overall by implementation of enhancements.
Provides support for the Business Continuity Intranet site and other recurring communications.
Maintains a high level of confidentially and professionalism when handling sensitive information and data.
Other Duties
Ability to travel or be on call as necessary with limited noticed including 24x7 business continuity support availability.
Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Ability to integrate knowledge gained from webinars, conferences, and other learning opportunities into the BCM Program.
Self-driven with the ability to set goals, prioritize tasks and work in an effective manner independently with minimal direction.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve desired results.
Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills which allow the development of effective relationships within the team and across the business.
Working knowledge of Office365 applications including Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams and an understanding of content management in SharePoint.
Ability to be on-call and provide support to the incident Management Team throughout the response process. This includes potential on-call work 24/7.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience required.
1+ years of relevant work experience required.
Business continuity planning experience preferred.
Experience in insurance or financial services industry preferred.
Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) certification required within 1 year required.
