We’re seeking a Director of Planning and Operations to join our team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in establishing, maintaining, and overseeing the governance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices that guide technology architecture across the organization. This role ensures that all architectural decisions are aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. The director will lead a team of governance professionals and work closely with technology architects, IT leaders, and business stakeholders to ensure consistency and compliance. We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to a Broadridge office and required to be in an office 2x a week.
Responsibilities:
Governance Framework Development:
Develop and implement governance frameworks that guide technology architecture across the organization.
Establish policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent architectural practices.
Ensure that governance processes are aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Methodology Implementation:
Define and enforce architectural methodologies and best practices, ensuring their adoption across all technology projects.
Continuously evaluate and refine methodologies to align with emerging technologies and business needs.
Collaborate with project management teams to integrate architectural methodologies into project workflows.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure that all architectural practices comply with relevant regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and industry-specific guidelines.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technology architecture decisions.
Oversee audits and reviews of architectural processes to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with senior leadership, including CIOs and CTOs, to ensure that governance and methods align with the organization’s strategic goals.
Engage with technology architects and development teams to ensure adherence to governance frameworks and methodologies.
Serve as a liaison between business and IT to ensure that architectural governance supports business objectives.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of governance and methodologies in technology architecture.
Regularly report on governance compliance, risk management, and the effectiveness of architectural methodologies to senior leadership.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives based on performance data and feedback.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, standards, and best practices in technology architecture governance.
Drive innovation in governance practices by integrating new methodologies, tools, and technologies.
Lead initiatives to streamline and optimize governance processes, ensuring agility and responsiveness to business needs.
Project Oversight
Project Intake & Prioritization: Define and manage a consistent framework for project intake and prioritization across the organization.
Resource Staffing: Oversee staffing for projects, balancing internal and vendor resources to meet project needs.
Governance: Ensure effective governance, tracking project progress, and ensuring alignment with goals.
Financial Management: Manage project budgets, forecasting, and financial tracking to ensure cost control and alignment with strategic priorities.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Planning and Operations with a focus on governance, or a related field
Experience in client management and support
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, governance models, and regulatory requirements.
Proven experience in developing and implementing governance frameworks and methodologies.
Exceptional communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Experience in overseeing staffing for projects and managing project budgets/ forecasting/financial tracking
Strong MS PowerPoint experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, COBIT, ITIL) is highly desirable.
Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $150,000 - $170,000 USD. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
